Route 16, ‘West Colfax Avenue’, Oak Station to Colfax / Broadway runs from via Federal – Decatur Station.
The route was split at Oak Station in September 2023 under the System Optimization Plan. The western portion to Golden became Route 17.
Map & Schedule
Route 16 operates 7 days a week. Frequency is generally 15 minutes throughout the day, dropping to 30 minutes in the evenings.
Vehicles Used
The route is operated by RTD using New Flyer XD60 60ft articulated transit buses from Platt Garage, Denver.

Current Issues
This route suffers from poor scheduling at ? Station, here buses are timed to depart 3 minutes before W Line trains arrive.
Future Plans
The System Optimization Plan proposes to increase weekday frequency to 15 minutes, evening frequency to 30 minutes and weekend frequency to 30 minutes.
