Route 12, ‘South Downing’, runs from to 38th & Blake Station to Englewood Station via Downing Street.

Route 12 used to run all the way to Northglenn 112th Station. As part the System Optimization Plan, the route was split in May 2023, with the northern portion becoming Route 7.

Route 12 operates 7 days a week. Frequency is generally 30 minutes throughout the day and in the evenings. Addition trips operate in the week day peaks between 38th & Blake Station and Colfax / Downing.

Current Issues

This route suffers from poor scheduling at 38th & Blake Station, here buses are timed to depart 2 minutes before eastbound A Line trains arrive.

Future Plans

The System Optimization Plan proposes to increase weekday frequency to 15 minutes, evening frequency to 30 minutes and weekend frequency to 30 minutes.

The System Optimization Plan details no proposals to change this route.
