Pacific Northwest Grand Tour

Greater Denver Transit is thrilled to host a tour of the three large largest cities in the Pacific Northwest. We’ll start out on Thursday August 20th in Portland, Oregon, then take the Amtrak Cascades up to Seattle, Washington, where we’ll stay for Friday night and Saturday. Finally there will be an optional “bonus” day where we take the Cascades across the Canadian border to Vancouver, British Columbia Sunday.

Itinerary

Thursday

Arrive in Portland and settle in at your hotel! Informal meetups but nothing planned beyond getting a good night’s sleep for the next day

Friday

  • We’ll have a group take Trimet’s route 77 bus from The Society Hotel to Hostel Cafe at 9:55 AM for breakfast
  • We’ll walk (or transit, whatever is fastest) to Powell’s around 11ish
  • 5:55 PM Amtrak Cascades 506 to Seattle
  • Arrive in Seattle King Street Station at 9:20 PM

Saturday

Sunday

  • Leave Seattle’s King Street Station at 8:30 AM on the 516 Amtrak Cascades to Vancouver
  • Arrive in Vancouver’s Pacific Central Station at 12:30 PM
